The eight section brocade was formed in twelfth Century. After that, it formed many schools with different styles. The ancient people compared this set of movements as “Brocade”, which meant the graceful movement, such as the beautiful and soft brocade, and because of the eight sections of the function, named “Eight pieces of brocade”.
